The Body Shop Absinthe Collection

It’s not often that I get excited about hand washes and hand creams, but in recent times due to the cold weather and excessive hand washing in work having a good hand cream to well, erm, hand is really important to me. When I first read about The Body Shop’s Absinthe collection I was mostly intrigued, my first thoughts of ‘Absinthe’ being that of the naughty drink that you won’t find for sale in your local off license or supermarket. This intrigue turned into genuine excitement for the day that I could finally order the collection online, so order I did. I picked up three out of the four items available and I might pop into a store tomorrow to pick up the hand butter that i’m missing.
The thing I like the most about the collection is the smell, its just so… fresh. I’m not sure how best to describe it otherwise, but fresh definitely comes to mind. My mum loves the smell too and even asked me whether they also did it as a body cream. The hand wash has a really nice consistency and feels nice to use, leaving your hands with a lovely hint of the scent. The hand gel is very similar to most hand gel’s, except obviously has the absinthe scent which is lovely. I always have at least one of these hand gels in my bag somewhere and this one is a lovely addition to my collection. My favourite thing I bought from the collection however is definitely the hand cream. I find that some hand creams can be quite heavy and not sink into the skin very well, this one however absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave your hands feeling oily or sticky. It makes your hands feel really refreshed and with the other items leaves the lovely scent on your hands.
Also, I think it’s worth noting that like with all items from The Body Shop I think you get a lot of product for your money and if you keep an eye out they very frequently have discount codes and offers on.
Are you a hand care fan? If so, what’s your favourite? Have you tried anything from this collection?

I like the sound of this collection – my hands have been so sore and chapped because of all the cold weather so I could probably use a good hand cream. xxx

My mum was given a sample of the hand cream, and I definitely prefer the Hemp range smell and moisture-wise! x

I read a similar review about a Body Shop hand cream on I Covet Thee and really want to try it. My hands get especially dry in the winter months x
