So here I am hopping back on the blogging train and also jumping right onto the bandwagon of ‘monthly favourites’ posts by showing my favourite bits and pieces from July.
A bit of a varied mix here but these Alpen Lemon Drizzle cereal bars are a definite favourite find of this month. I usually don’t buy cereal bars because the good ones are always expensive but these were on offer for £1 and as there was only one box left I thought they must be good; they are! They’re lemony and oaty and just wonderful for when you fancy a sweet treat.
A few years ago I would never have put anything with ‘oil’ in the title anywhere near my already oily/combination face but recently i’ve been reading more and more about the benefits of facial oil and decided to give it a shot. I picked up this nSpa Deep Hydrating Facial Oil from ASDA on a whim as all nSpa products are two for £8 and it’s brilliant. I pat a few drops onto my face at night, let it sink in for a bit, then put moisturiser on. My moisturiser works a lot better and the texture of my skin has also improved – i’m certainly a facial oil convert!
I’ve amassed quite a collection of lipsticks since I started wearing the stuff daily after getting my braces removed last year. Pink colours are my favourite, and I’m absolutely in love with MAC’s Candy Yum Yum at the moment. It’s quite a bright colour with lots of pigmentation yet still really wearable for day to day.
Hypnose was my favourite perfume years ago, but then I moved onto other scents. I asked for a bottle for my birthday last year but only got around to opening it a few weeks ago, and my love has well and truly been rekindled. It’s described as being a ‘woody oriental fragrance’, although it’s smell reminds me of sweets. Plus, I love the bottle.
So, that’s a few of my favourite things of last month – what are yours?
