Staying in: The new going out?

Relaxing inside with wine

As brilliant as a night out is, sometimes having a night in is just a better option. Staying in means you get to avoid the temperamental weather, you don’t have to worry about getting a taxi home and a bottle of something from the shop is much cheaper than a drink in a bar. My Voucher Codes recently conducted a survey regarding how we like to unwind after a busy week and it seems we’re all fans of a night in. If you’re not yet sold on the idea of spending a night inside or are in need of a couple of ideas of what you could get up to read on to see a few of my suggestions!

Film Night

A personal favourite of mine and something I do pretty much every week with my best friend. We head around to one of our houses, put on our pyjamas, choose a film, pour a big glass of wine and order in some food. It’s inexpensive, fun and you get to wear your pyjamas! Win all round.

Pamper Night

If you have a night free, it’s a great opportunity to have a bit of a pamper session! Cleanse, exfoliate, tone, moisturise, apply fake tan, pop on a face mask and give yourself a manicure or anything else you feel like pampering yourself with. It’s a fun way to have a bit of ‘me time’ whilst saving money on going to the spa plus you’ll feel fantastic the next day. If you’re looking for a face mask I highly recommend the Origins Out of Trouble 10 Minute Mask for problem skin.

Do Nothing

You know what? It’s okay to do nothing sometimes. Watch rubbish TV, catch up on blogs, play The Sims, read. You’ll spend the next day feeling invigorated rather than hungover and save money to boot!

Take a look at this article to see more results from the survey as well as more ideas of how to spend a night in!

I’d love to know, what’s your perfect night in?
