I’ve always wanted to be one of those super talented crafters who creates beautiful handmade cards, but I’m just not. That being said, for someone who isn’t all that crafty I do have a pretty impressive craft stash, so when I was offered the opportunity to try out this kit from Kirstie Allsopp I thought it would be a great excuse to use up a little bit of my craft kit.
Now, if you don’t already have craft supplies not to worry, as there really is everything you could need within this kit to make some basic stamped cards and stationary. The kit comes with what you’d expect; card blanks, envelopes, a selection of stamps, ink and also some adhesive stone embellishments and foam pads. As I mentioned, however, I did want to use up some of the bits and pieces I already had. I used my own pastel pink card blank and some pink ribbon as well as three adhesive stones and a frame stamp from the Kirstie kit which I cut out very carefully with some scissors.
Now, whilst I’m not proud enough of this to give it to anyone, for my first attempt at paper craft in a very long time I don’t think I did too badly. I would really suggest this kit or something similar if you’re a beginner to the world of craft.
Psst! Kirstie’s kits are often discounted at Hobbycraft.
