Last Thursday night, after a whirlwind car journey that had me racing through the Mersey tunnel (well, not quite) and a dash past some very questionable karaoke – Last Christmas… in July… I love this city – I arrived at Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar in Liverpool One to join a very small group of Liverpool bloggers for an evening of summer skincare with ESPA.
After being welcomed into the lovely WOW Bar with a glass of prosecco, we were introduced to the ESPA team and told what to expect from the event before being split into three small groups of four so we could really enjoy each of the experiences ESPA were about to offer us. We first went for a hand and arm treatment, which was absolutely lovely; my arms felt incredibly soft afterwards and smelt wonderful. We then moved on to have our skin analysed which was very interesting for me as my skin type has changed dramatically since being on Roaccutane for four months. As to be expected, my once oily/combination skin is now very dry and dull and overall in need of a pick-me-up meaning that ESPA’s Radiance range of skincare is ideal for me right now.
After receiving a little package including some samples of the radiance skincare range it was time for canapes, a prosecco top up and an introduction to some new products to the ESPA line; their book of summer beauty, gradual tanner and lip balm. After being told about the products, we each received a goody bag with some more product samples and were left to enjoy our prosecco and have a bit of a catch up. As always when we get together the chatting quickly turned into laughing and before we knew it it was time to head home!
Overall it was a really lovely evening and we were very well looked after by both the Harvey Nichols team and the ESPA ladies. It was great being able to catch up with Jackie, Laura and Sarah and meeting Holly and Hannah. Plus, I have a bundle of new lovely ESPA goodies to try out and boy do I love ESPA.
