My Daily Face

I’ve been through a variety of makeup over the years, but I’m finally somewhat settled on what works for me and what makes me look slightly less horrific in the morning. I received this rather cute and rather useful make-up case for Christmas from my dad, and as I had a spare few minutes I thought that I’d put all of my daily makeup in it. I hope that this will make everything easier to find and also to make it easier for whenever I’m staying away from home – I can just grab my case and go! As all my daily makeup is together, rather than strewn across my desk as normal, I thought that I’d take some photos and write up a post about all the junk I slather over my face.

First up is the base, I start off with MAC Studio Fix Fluidin shade NC15 then pop some Pro Longwear Concealer in the same shade where I need it (usually around my eyes and on my cheeks, argh!) After this I put on a little bit of mineral foundation, I usually use a non-branded one from eBay but I have none of that right now so I’m using The Body Shops Extra Virgin MineralsLoose Powder Foundation.

After this, I do an attempt at ‘contouring’ and use The Natural Collection’s bronzer to do that. To kind of ‘set’ everything I use MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light, and buff everything in using a kabuki brush! After this I put a bit of colour on my cheeks using either MAC powder blush in ‘Blush all Day’ or ‘Fleur Power’.

Once my face is sorted, I head over to my eyes. I use a black kohl pencil eyeliner – right now The Body Shop’s Eye Definer in Black – along my waterline, then use liquid eyeliner beneath my eye. I then pop on a bit of ‘XXX’ mascara, and fill in my eyebrows using ‘XXX’ from the HD Brows Palette.
So that’s it, my daily make up! It might seem like a lot, but it only takes ten minutes to apply in the morning and yes, I always make sure to remove it at night but that’s a post for another day!
P.s. Sorry for the quality of these photos, I’ve just got a new camera and i’m still trying to get used to using it!
