Whether you want to colour block or pattern clash, wear high street or haute couture there is no more accessible spring trend than monochrome. It’s suited to all styles and affordable to all budgets, so there’s no surprise that it’s repeated year after year. I love monochrome outfits all year round, however with the saturation of black and white clothing hitting the high street and online clothing stores recently I thought I’d do a post pointing out some of the items that have made my mental wish list.
I actually already own this H&M t-shirt, it’s so versatile. It looks just as great worn over a pair of jeans as it does tucked in to a high waist skirt or pair of trousers and I think it would look particularly amazing with this H&M pleather skirt for a full on monochrome outfit. Although Britain seems to have said cheerio to the snow for another year it’s still a bit nippy out, and jumpers are a must have through the transitional months which is why I’ve added this polka dot jumper from George to my wish list; perfect for popping on just before leaving the house on chilly mornings. Crop tops are also cropping up everywhere (see what I did there?) and this polka dot one from Topshop is a brilliant way to mix both trends at once. My personal favourite is the checkerboard dress from Missguided, which would look amazing with a pair of high shoe boots and a neon clutch on a night out.
Are you a fan of monochrome? Which of these is your favourite?
