A whirlwind trip to Bath

For a very long time, Bath has been at the top of my list of places to visit so when I found myself a mere thirty minute train journey away last weekend I decided to take a little trip.
It was a whirlwind adventure and I was only there for a little over three hours but it gave me a taste of the city and I can’t wait to head back for a long weekend next year. I took a little walk through the city centre until I found Bath Abbey and I decided to visit the Roman Baths. I took my DSLR with me but when I went to take my first picture I realised I hadn’t put the battery back in from charging it the night before (d’oh!) So I snapped a few pictures on my phone instead.

The Roman Baths are fascinating and I really enjoyed walking around. It was my first experience of going to somewhere like this on my own (take that, anxiety!) and I think being able to look around at my own pace made it all the better. As I went on a Saturday it was quite busy and when I left there was a big queue outside, so it’s definitely a good idea to go a bit earlier to beat the queues!

Have you ever been to the Roman Baths? Do you have any recommendations of places to visit on my next trip to Bath?

Bath is on my hit list too, the fact that you enjoyed it in a few hours is a great sign. Great work on going alone as well, sometimes it is nice to take things at your own pace xxx
